What we do

We provide sustainable solutions to challenges facing farmers, big industry, government, and responsible green-citizens:

  • Cost effective solutions for invasive alien species, other bio-mass and bio-waste
  • Long term enhancement of soil health and nutrient retention
  • Strengthening of livestock health and sanitisation of livestock pens
  • Cost-effective natural reclamation and restoration of ex-industrial land (mining, timber)
  • Small business development for marginalised groups
  • Long-term carbon emissions solutions

‘Why we do’ determines the expression of ‘what we do’ , our vision is to be a leading provider of holistic green solutions that have true triple-p benefit (people, planet, profit). Our current focus is the renewable energy, food security and rehabilitation sectors with specific focus on:

  • Transforming biomass and biomass waste into Biochar and related products
  • Application of these products to speed up and improve soil and livestock health and fertility in farming, soil rehabilitation, and in water and effluent purification scenarios
  • Production of energy from biomass to operate our technologies and meet the growing energy requirements of communities.

Choose a partner that ensures success:

  • Project management – over 15 years experience in multi-million Rand, complex, multi-site, project management and oversight
  • Social upliftment strategies – over 12 years experience in building social upliftment projects that educate, empower, and employ impoverished communities

Competitive competencies in:

  • Environmental legislative requirements
  • Agriculture
  •  Soil rehabilitation
  • BB-BEE
  • Financial management

This 2,000 year-old practice converts agricultural waste into a soil enhancer that can hold carbon, boost food security, and increase soil biodiversity. Biochar is a solid material obtained from the carbonisation of biomass, the process creates a fine-grained, highly porous char that can be charged with various nutrients depending on need.

Biochar also improves water quality and quantity by increasing soil retention of nutrients and agrochemicals for plant and crop utilisation. More nutrients stay in the soil instead of leaching into groundwater and causing pollution.

Biochar is an ally in combating carbon emissions, it can be sued to reduce emissions from biomass that would otherwise naturally degrade to greenhouse gases. Biochar also has appreciable carbon sequestration value, the carbon in biochar resists degradation and can hold carbon in soils for hundreds to thousands of years.

In addition, sustainable biochar practices can produce oil and gas byproducts that can be used as fuel, providing clean, renewable energy.
